Mandara Cromwell with her book Miracles at Bretforton

Hello Friends of Cyma Technologies,

I am excited to announce my second book, Miracles at Bretforton, is about to be published soon!

For all of you who love the AMI devices, this book will provide great insight on how the early cymatic therapy became the Cymatherapy™ we use so effectively today. In it, I share many memories of my experiences during the history and development of sound therapy that have inspired me all along the way.

I want the Cyma Technologies community to be the first to enjoy reading about the miracles of my early studies with Dr. Peter Guy Manners at the Breforton Hall Clinic in the United Kingdom.

The release of this book marks my 25 years of producing sound instruments that utilize the frequencies I first learned about at Bretforton Hall. It is important to take a fond look at the past, while gazing confidently into the future, as we embark on the path to further sound discoveries.  Another way we can celebrate the recent decades is by enjoying the knowledge of the visionaries that helped us make this progress…

About the Author

Mandara Cromwell is an entrepreneur, inventor, researcher and author. In 2001, she began her studies of the original cymatic therapy with British osteopath, Peter Guy Manners, and was awarded the Diplomat of Cymatic Bioenergetic Medicine, at Bretforton Hall Clinic in the UK. She later received her Doctorate of Cymatic Medicine through Medicina Alternativa in 2004. As CEO of Cyma Technologies in the US, she manufactures her own inventions—the AMI Acoustic Meridian Intelligence devices—for the therapeutic application of specific sound frequencies to the body. She has made it her life’s work to take Dr. Manners’ knowledge to greater heights through research, education and collaboration.

Since 2011, the AMI devices have been manufactured by Cyma Technologies in the US, to insure the preservation of the specific healing frequencies, the device design and concepts. Her company produces sound therapy instruments for the purposes of creating vibrant health, jobs of the future and new ways of thinking. Her mission is to change the face of healthcare in the US and the world, through acoustic frequencies combined with advanced sound technology. Dr. Cromwell coined the term “Cymatherapy” to distinguish between “cymatics—the study of wave phenomenon,” and the therapeutic application of specific sound frequencies to the body.

She holds a BA in Art History, which inspired her to seek studies in Eastern philosophy, through extended travels to India and China. This provided an opportunity for in-depth investigation of the ancient teachings of Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. This knowledge culminated in the innovation of the AMI Acoustic Meridian Intelligence devices and concept. The invention of her first device, the AMI 750, resulted in a nomination for the Thomas Edison Award in 2013 for Innovation in the fields of Science and Medicine.  Successive inventions of the AMI 850 and AMI 500 devices have continued to provide new approaches in Cymatherapy for both private owners and healthcare professionals.

Mandara is the author of Soundflower: The Journey to Marry Science and Spirit, the story of how sound discoveries—both scientific and mystical—have influenced her personal journey, throughout her lifetime. She continues to research and develop the many applications of therapeutic sound, to include products using images of therapeutic sound frequencies made visible. Her innovation with the “Soundflower Experience,” created a new sound/visual meditation based on the images generated by the AMI device. They have become an extremely effective way to reduce stress, while cultivating vibrant health and longevity.

The 2026 release of her second book, Miracles at Bretforton, has encouraged many to look at sound therapy as a viable solution for a drug-free non-invasive approach to health—as well as an inspiration for  healthcare professionals and healers to integrate Cymatherapy into their careers and plans for healing the world.

In 2005, she founded the International Sound Therapy Association (ISTA), a non-profit organization to increase the public’s awareness of the healing power of therapeutic sound, through conferences, educational courses and sharing the latest sound discoveries with visionaries in the field of vibrational medicine. She is a compelling speaker on the healing power of sound and how to access its many benefits through both ancient techniques and her own innovations.

With her many endeavors, she still finds time to enjoy the beauty of the natural world, the pleasures of home and her three grandchildren, with whom she hopes to share the wisdom of her many life experiences.

A Note from The Author

A Note from the Author Mandara Cromwell

Writing Miracles at Bretforton involved sorting through countless memories of the early days. It conjured up many in-depth teacher/student sessions with Dr. Manners about cymatic therapy and its origins—but also the endearing moments of having simple conversations with him over tea about our expectations of life ahead and what we both believed.

When I was living through the initial days at Bretforton Hall, it all seemed so chaotic. There was much to learn, many people to meet and thousands of details to manifest this new solution for the world. My developing personal dream was that I could take cymatic therapy to the US and also into a new world of possibilities. From the beginning, it seemed to me that this form of sound therapy could be the answer for many. The more I learned, the more I was certain that it could alleviate suffering and provide an alternative for a world convinced there were no other solutions than pharmaceuticals.

I still marvel at all the “miracles” I experienced at Bretforton Hall, during my introduction to cymatic therapy—especially the technique of using trans-dermal application of sound to the body with an applicator. I had never seen this done before and I still remember the excitement I felt when watching Dr. Manners’ patients respond almost miraculously to it. I have often thought of sound therapy as an opportunity for people to re-discover their body’s own ability to heal. I invest time every day to learn more about what we can do with therapeutic sound for prevention of illness. This helps to paint a much brighter future for us all.

The body is an extraordinary creation that responds beautifully to the sounds contained in the AMI—Acoustic Meridian Intelligence devices,.

I have been shown that the correct sound to match your body’s “cellular conversation” can have positive, dramatic effects on its ability to heal. The meridian pathways, as taught in Chinese medicine, offered me the most perfect avenues for delivering the audible sound frequencies. Above all, the body’s innate intelligence partners with us, when we provide the correct communication.

Miracles at Bretforton is my second book, but probably not my last. The extraordinary experiences people have shared with me over the years will always be held in my heart. Their stories have inspired my work for more than twenty-five years. Finding the right path for healing and spiritual growth can sometimes be challenging. I believe the sound frequencies in the AMI devices can bring into harmony the multiple layers of being. With this new awareness, we can return to a place of bliss within ourselves and our world. I hope the stories in the book will inspire many to try Cymatherapy. My vision is of a world full of healthy vibrations, encircling the Earth and all of her children. In this way, pain and suffering will become our distant memories.

Enjoy with me the many Miracles at Breforton,

Cyma Technologies
